Point Defiance

The past couple weeks have been full of amazing weather. Justin, Jon, and I went to Silverdale last weekend to help tidy up Jon and Judy's house. I did tons of yard work for them: so much, that they want to hire me to do the rest! Ha! But I enjoyed doing the yard work so much. It reminded me of helping Mom with her yard and garden and I really loved it.

This month will mark four months since Justin and I moved here. It feels like a lot longer than that! But we absolutely love it! Justin had his 90-day review and everyone at work loves him (please: what's not to love about Justin?). Jon and Laura have both earned promotions as well. We are incredibly blessed. Now we'd just love to have Jon and Judy and Joe a little closer, so we'll see what the next few months bring us.

This weekend was Girl's Weekend for the Beals. I was sad to miss that, as my family gets together less and less these days. BUT I'm so excited for Keaton's wedding, which - seriously - will be here before you know it!

Sunday we had some great family time at Point Defiance. We ate yummy food, played croquet(and speed croquet- thanks Mitzi for bringing that game into my life!), and went for a walk. It was one of my favorite Rose activities ever! The weather is perfect right now. It is going to be a beautiful summer!
All Clara wanted to do was play on the slide...though she did NOT appreciate other kids cutting in line!

Look at that handsome man! Love him!!

Clara loves her Uncle Joe!

Justin killed us all in croquet!

Jon and Clara in the background cheering Grandma on!

These two were the last left with speed croquet trying to kill each other...so fun!

Don't mind my mullet...I have a haircut soon.

Clara loved playing with the rocks!

I loved that this tree had huge purple flowers growing on it! So pretty.

Spring in the Air

This week was beautiful! We have had amazing weather. Seriously, spring is here. There are blossoms on the trees, the flowers outside our apartment have bloomed, and the sun feels amazing! We have had such a mild winter. We must have brought the Vegas sun with us because it hasn't been the dreary, depressing, rainy, cloudy winter everyone professes it to be. My in-laws have been warning "Just wait until February" but this year we lucked out. No winter blues over here!

Things are getting exciting for my business. I am LOVING what I am doing. Justin has recently been called to Elder's Quorum secretary. I finished coaching the young women basketball team this Saturday. We finished the season undefeated...which still amazes me. I really think they were so successful because of all the teams, I saw my girls having the most fun.

I attended a Red Rally on Saturday to enjoy some MK pink bubble life ;)

We made a goal poster for saving money for a down-payment for a house. We are really excited and now have a clear path for how to get there.

That's pretty much everything we have going on. In other news, Keaton is officially engaged to his bride-to-be Amanda. They are a match made in heaven and we are all so happy for him. I can't wait for May to celebrate him and see all my family! :)

An Update of Sorts

I haven't been as faithful with updating my blog. I haven't felt like there's been much to write about, but we've been busy with everyday things. I'm have a lot going on in my business right now and Justin is taking on more responsibilities at work. This winter has been AMAZING! We've had lots of sunny, mild days. It is simply gorgeous!

Last Sunday we went for a walk to play with our new camera

Last Saturday I had a HUGE day and when I got home Justin had flowers for me! So sweet

I'm on the RS activities committee and we had a "speed dating/friendship" activity where I made oreo truffles.Yum

It was so amazing watching the Seahawks pull off that win against the Packers, making it horribly sad to see them lose to the Patriots right in the moment we were about to seize victory! We had a fun party with the Hunters and the Roses and some other friends.

Hawk Eyes for the Game!

We took Joe to a hockey game back in January. We love watching hockey!

silly faces

I attended an MK event back in January. Suzanne is second from the right in this picture and she is on her way to becoming a national this year. It is so exciting and fun to work with her and be part of her journey! After posting this picture on facebook people went nuts over my white dress. I told the owner of the business she should cut me a check for all the advertising and new business it got her. But seriously.

I qualified for a special banquet that Justin was invited to. It was fun getting all dressed up with him!

There was not a cloud in the sky this Sunday, so we went out that afternoon to find a place where we could view Mt. Ranier unencumbered by power lines, buildings, and trees! This junior high football field did just the trick. We may have found our dream neighborhood where we would love to have our house just down the street from the school.
