Not a ton to write about - just uploaded some pics from my phone and will add a little narration :)
Church with this guy is getting tricky! We moved to 9:00 time -- right when he typically has his morning nap. It's not uncommon for him to get fussy - his favorite time to do so is right during the sacrament, by the way!

I participated at a ladies night featuring several women with their businesses. As you can imagine, there was every direct sales you can think of - and of course me representing Mary Kay! I had two $1,000 weeks in February - my best yet!
Emmett is devouring all things solid! Though I am holding him back because I want him to keep nursing. Milk supply is a tricky thing. I'm grateful he does a great job of emptying the breast! Babies really are miraculous little creatures. And this bib kills me!
Emmett loves his swimming class. He's the youngest one - makes sense as he was barely old enough for me to register him! The instructor comments every time on his "chill" factor and his calm/relaxed state in the water. We sing songs, dunk the babies, chase after pool toys, float the babies on their backs, and blow bubbles. He loves chasing the pool toys around. So cute!

Today's Sunday was a complete 180 from last Sunday: Today was the warmest sunniest day we've had - it got up to 53 degrees! We went for a walk with the dog at point defiance to soak it all in. Last Sunday it snowed over a foot at our house, and some places had up to 16"! People who have lived here their whole lives had never seen anything like it. Puyallup schools and districts across the sound were closed for Monday and Tuesday and had late starts on Wednesday. That's when the rain finally set it and melted it all away. That was fun for a minute but I had serious cabin fever stuck in my house and it was only for two days! These pics were taken 3 days after the snow initially fell.

Justin is working on making a magic mirror - don't ask me, but he is excited about it. Something to do with a mini computer called a raspberry and making it connect to a screen.

This week Chick Fil A opened in Puyallup!! And it's less than 2 miles from our house! I am sooooo excited. We didn't go opening day, but we did go on Friday and it was amazing! I will definitely be a regular.

Friday night my friend Kari put on a painting night at her house. I did this last fall and really enjoyed it. Such a great quality time activity to spend with some girlfriends!

Saturday  I attended a workshop for our future area in MK and taught two of the classes. They were 45 and 30 minutes, which is the longest I've ever spoken directly to an audience. That may seem like a lie considering my teaching background, but I was never giving direct instruction like that for that long. But it was a good experience and I got some good feedback about the workshops I taught. Go me!!

Emmett is enjoying trying different foods. He's crawling all over the place and trying to chew on whatever cords he can find...tomorrow he starts swimming lessons! Of course I'm biased...he is such a dang cute baby :):) also, he is weighing in at a wee 15 1/2 pounds ....skinny little guy!

6 months and More

Baby Emmett is over 6 months old now. What's new with baby? He is now an army crawler, but not sitting up yet. We took him swimming last week and tomorrow I start taking him regularly to the YMCA with other babies his age - he loooves the water. Bath time is the best time. I'm also attending a "stroller fitness" class with lots of other mamas and their babies. The kids chill in their strollers while all the mommies get their exercise! So fun. He likes to crawl around and chase after his bath toys. He is almost sleeping through the night (made it to 4 AM this week - fingers crossed!), and will start solids very soon! He hasn't taken to anything solid we've given him so far. He has also discovered his voice at a new level! He screeeeeches at me when he sees me. My favorite noise he makes is "goooo" - usually after a fulfilling meal. And my new favorite thing he does is crawl to me from across the rug - squawking at me the whole time - and reach out for me to hold him.

Other than that, there's not much new going on. Justin is doing well at work and has some projects he's working on at home. He's programming a mini computer and preparing details for our family vacation in June. And of course, I'm working hard toward my DIQ.

I stayed home sick from church today and it snowed 3 inches - snow rarely sticks here so that was fun!  More snow is in the forecast - they say up to 5 inches.
Beautiful sunrise the other morning - Mt Ranier peaking through
