change is a-comin'

How appropriate to post on the last day of summer? Fall is here folks. The last two weeks have had some stormy rainy days. We've had a few nice summer days sprinkled between but for the most part colder weather is here to stay. I'm adjusting to having the kids inside more and doing my best to keep the house in tact!

Mom and Dad's temple assignment is winding down as we are winding up to find a new place to live. Do we rent a house here in Lost River? Do we take over Mom and Dad's apartment? Do we try to find a different apartment and look for a cheaper price? Can I HANDLE living in a janky apartment after being spoiled here and having been spoiled in the past with our WA house? Only time will tell because my mind literally changes every day. I've considered staying here, moving to Idaho Falls, moving to Blackfoot, moving to Shelley, moving to Rexburg...  there are a ga-zillion pros and cons for every choice. All I can say is: pray for us!

Last weekend Justin and I were invited to play in an Ultimate tournament in Utah with the T-Rexburg club team. This team was started back when we were playing at BYU-I - Justin was actually the head coach when it was first founded. I was nervous because I haven't played since we lived in Vegas... but I had SO much fun, and I played like a beast (if I do say so myself - thank you daily crossfit workouts). I came home and told Mom it was a major boost to my ego...the girls on my team AND the opposing team would come up to me and be like, "You're SOOOO good. How long have you been playing?" and "You're SUCH a good handler!" haha umm....I haven't played in 5 years, gee thanks. LOL. Like I said: major ego boost.
The fields were flooded the day before 🙄 it did make for some great layouts!

ha...it was MUDDY!

Justin was traveling for work for a week and I managed to keep these two reverent during sacrament meeting on my own. Thank you goldfish!

I love Emmett leading Logan to nursery each week.

The kids LOOOVE the neighbor's cats

I made some "sensory bins" for the kids with all the foul weather we're having. I made 44 cups worth of rainbow rice! I also added navy beans for some different textures. Emmett calls them dinosaur eggs (of course).

The house we might rent (this would actually be my dream come true: I could get chickens and have a garden next year).

Justin and I have been doing intermittent fasting. I'm pretty much to my goal weight though I have to remember I haven't ever been this muscular before so I'm super happy with the results. Justin is also losing weight - and contrary to popular belief, you don't lose muscle mass with this method.

Emmett and I have been doing more preschool activities at home. Here we're sorting the animals. Emmett calls it putting them in their "families." Yes my son... good one.

his first day at Ms. Livesay's preschool in Arco!

one of my big projects for Mom was ripping out allllll of the alysum and let me tell you! Anywhere there would be empty ground in her flower beds there is alysum so it was a huge job. The kids loved riding the four-wheeler back and forth from dumping the wagon.

Justin's rental while he was in NC for work...he was pretty excited
